Nate Berkus Was In My Bedroom With A Camera Crew!
It’s TRUE — and get your mind out of the gutter!
He was here as part of the Oprah Show’s upcoming episode on recession-era home makeovers. The concept was to have neighbors swap furniture and then do budget makeovers on the rooms the swapped furniture goes into.
Well, my neighborhood is especially close-knit — what with our Block parties, potluck dinners, movie nights, and babysitting trades, so we were a natural fit for the show!
I traded this loveseat
and this cabinet
from my house, and I got this beautiful china cabinet from a neighbor.
PLUS, Nate Berkus worked his GENIUS decorating skills on my office room and it went from before
to AFTER!
I’m so thrilled with my new room and my neighbors and I all had a fantastic time!!
We’re going to be on TV on Monday, April, 27th. Check local listings for show times. (oo – I’ve always wanted to say that!!)

Yay for you, Sarah! I can’t wait to see it all!

Ok … I’m LOVING the color. It’s very similar to the color I had my office in the house before we had to move me out to the garage for more space. It’s a fun, lively and more important – creative color. Nate is VERY smart.

Thanks — yes, It’s a great color: deep and warm. And just the paint alone would have made such a huge difference. But then to have the furniture moved around and the new curtains, too — so fantastic!

Oh can I just say *SQUEEEEE*
I am so BEYOND delighted when good things happen to good people.

Wow! How totally cool. I’ll be sure to check it out on Monday. I went to see Oprah when she had Barbara Kingsolver on for Poisonwood Bible. It was an interesting experience. (P.S. Is Nate as cute in person as he is on TV? Do not tell anyone I asked you that question. I feel like a sixth grader.)
