Twitter rocks. I can say it with no hesitation. And I have my reasons.
1. One night my friend MintCool tweeted there was a deal on Flip video cameras at Amazon for $59, which was like 1/3 the price I’d seen in stores, plus did I mention I had an Amazon credit for $32? So I got this sweet unit for $27.
2. WilW, who I do not know except I, like millions of people, saw him in 1986 in Stand By Me, mentioned in a tweet that OS X was ready for update and I downloaded it even before my computer mentioned there was a need. Thanks, Wil!
3. CraigNewmark – who I also do not know personally, but I know (and you may have heard?) that he founded a certain List — and I had a back-and-forth conversation about the best Twitter app for the iPhone one day. (TwitterFon, IMHO, and Tweetie in his.)
4. One night I followed a tweet-link from KathySena to the funniest blog I’d ever seen, and I always appreciate a good laugh.
5. I found out my cousin got tenure. On Twitter. (Actually, he got tenure at George Mason University. But I found out about it on Twitter.)
OMG did I tell you that @waitwait @replied me and now they are FOLLOWING ME!?

Gotta love Twitter! I’ve been lucky enough to find some cool things through my Twitter friends as well. And Wil is one cool guy.
