We’re Going To Disneyland! And So Can You!

I won a VIP trip to Disneyland for my family and I’ve got to tell you, I’m thrilled! Kathy Sena ran the contest on her blog Parent Talk Today and when she emailed me that I had won, I almost didn’t believe her!!

But it’s true and we’re all excited! Disneyland at the holidays is an amazing sight to see, and this time we’ll get to do it as VIPs! So thanks, Kathy, for having the giveaway, and thanks, Disneyland for offering up such an amazing prize! We’re going on November 21st and I’ll post pictures afterwards. (Plus look for a Whrrl story on the day.)

We got invited to visit as guests of the park last year, and it was a total blast. The kids went crazy — there’s so much to see and take in. I was so impressed with all the holiday decorations they put up. Seriously, how many hours does it take to do all that??? And it’s just beautiful. Disney knows how to put on a great show. Haunted Mansion at the HolidaysMe and The Boys by the Giant Disney Xmas treeGoofy and the boysNow here’s the best news of all: Disneyland and Disney World are giving away a free pass next year to anyone who does a qualified volunteer day. It’s the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day program, and I think it’s a fantastic idea. We need more volunteering in general, and if you get a super nice prize like a day at a Disney park afterwards, man, who wouldn’t do it??
