I have been to the Wii Fit Plus and it is good. 
I was invited by Nintendo and their PR companies to see a demo of the new Wii Fit enhancement and I have to say I think it’s a great thing. They’ve given me one to use at home and I really like it. There are a ton of new games using the unique features of the balance board. In one of them you pretend to be a circus performer balancing on a giant ball and the results are quite ridiculous, in a good way.
In another you have to avoid virtual obstacles that are designed to knock your little virtual self off a cliff — a feat that’s easier said than done, trust me.
The other new feature of the Wii Fit Plus that I think is awesome, and really speaks to those of us with limited time, is that you can customize your workout to be whatever you want it to be. Only have 30 minutes? Drag and drop your favorite strength and yoga moves into a “30-minute” list, and you’re good to go. 
Want more strength moves than yoga? It’s totally up to you. Plus, there’s a calorie-counting feature that will show you just how much more you’ll need to work out to earn that eggnog latte.
If you already own the Wii Fit, the Plus is simply a new dvd, so that’s cool, too. But if you’re new to it, it’s all bundled up as a package for the holidays. I’ve seen it at Costco and Target for about $100 or less, and the disc alone is about $20.
