Cleanse, Day One
I bought all these greens and lentils at the farmer’s market yesterday and cooked them up today. I can tell you this: lentils are not photogenic, but they are tasty.
And fresh ones cook up faster than dried (in like 10 minutes).
And I can also tell you this: Greens shrink up. I chopped about 4 times this amount.
Majorly labor-intensive. But worth it all because greens are delicious! I just did these with a little garlic and olive oil — and I’m quite smitten. I’ve already bought more. Next week at the farmer’s market, you better try to get to those greens before I do. All I’m saying.
My cleanse is going OK. I pined for the kids’ pasta dinner, but didn’t eat it. I did have coffee this morning, but it’s going tomorrow. No meat, no wheat, no dairy, no refined sugar, no booze. I’ll keep you posted.

Ooooh… you are brave! And I’m so in need of the very same cleanse! Best of luck!

Thank you very much! It’s an effort all right, as I sit here feeling hungry, but it’s paying off already.
