Downtown LA Surprises: It’s Restaurant Week!

I had a meeting downtown in what appeared to be a plain building from the outside, building ext.but which turned out to be stunning inside. building int.Then I snagged a couple of my blogging buddies, Elise’s Ramblings and YvonneInLA, and we went out for a lovely lunch at Cafe Pinot, which happened to be participating in Dine LA — and the deal was sweet: a 3 course meal for $22. There were 3 appetizers and 3 entrees to choose from and we had one of each. Butternut squash souparugula salad w/goat cheeseahi tuna tartarechicken with baby vegetablessalmon w/saladwild mushroom risottoThere were only 2 dessert choices, so we had two of the chocolate ones and one panna cotta, of course.

I love Cafe Pinot — I was married there 10.5 years ago, and it’s still one of my favorite spots in LA. And this is a great deal — I highly recommend it!
