Stay Healthy This Flu Season: #CDCFlu Twitter Party March 5, 10am PST
I am a bit of a freak about staying healthy, especially during Flu Season. I try to get lots of rest, and when I start to feel run down, I really pull back, get to bed early, drink lots of fluids and do whatever I can to boost my immunity.
I wasn’t this way before having kids, but once my guys came along, my whole perspective changed. Whereas I used to think, “Oh what’s the big deal about a little cold or flu?”, now that I have seen how miserable kids can get when they’re sick, and how serious the flu is, I have changed my tune.
Now I am constantly cracking the whip to get my family to wash their hands. Again and again!
Plus, since my youngest has Reactive Airway Asthma, which is made worse when he has a cold, or even worse, the flu, it’s really critical.
I also make sure we get Flu shots every year, ever since my OB had me get one when I was pregnant. We have been relatively healthy these past dozen or so years and have made it through all these Flu Seasons pretty much unscathed.
To find out more about how to keep your family safe from the Flu this season, let’s hear it from the experts: the Centers for Disease Control. They’re having a Twitter party on March 5 at 10am PST and I’ll be one of the co-hosts. Hope to “see” you there!
