I’m a blogger because I was inspired by my friend Julia. I love the medium and can’t seem to stop myself.
I live in LA with my husband and our 2 sons in a cute little house in Mar Vista. I write a blog about my neighborhood called Mar Vista Mom.
I’ve lived in Greenwich Village, Greenwich, Connecticut, (on) Maui, Hawaii, Providence, Rhode Island, Athens, Greece, St.Paul, Minnesota, and now Los Angeles, California. It’s my favorite. Although Maui’s pretty great. Obviously.
I used to work on movies and TV shows as a Script Supervisor, but since 1999 I’ve worked primarily as a mom.
I’m on Facebook, Twitter and Whrrl.
Thanks for checking out my blog!
Wow! I am so impressed of all the places you have live. Your great!
BTW, the new site looks fabulous!
Hi Sarah,
Yes, as long time Mar Vista residents we are very glad we live here. I enjoyed the article about Mar Vista which also listed your website. Our block, Colonial, has an annual block party and there is a real neighborhood feel about it. My wife, Leslie Lashinsky, and I are both musicians. We are giving a concert this Saturday Night, December 19th at Vitello’s Jazz and Supper Club. I’ll attach the flyer in case you might list it. There are other musicians in Mar Vista, it is a creative community. And a green one, I loved the green walk over the summer giving the opportunity to see some of the environmentally forward thinking houses. Our website is:
http://dreamstreetband.com
It’s an interesting Chamber Jazz ensemble with violin, cello, bassoon, guitar, bass, percussion and a great woman vocalist.
Thanks for what you do for the neighborhood,
Stan
Couldn’t attach anything. Please go to our website for details. Thanks again.
