I finally succumbed Wednesday afternoon and was totally out of commission yesterday. Sat on the couch for a while, went back to bed for a while. That's about it.

Since I didn't have coffee yesterday, following stomach flu protocol of clear liquids only for the first 24 hours, I was really in a fog. I must truly examine the limits and reaches of that drug, "caffeine" some day. But not today. For today, I am drinking coffee again and I couldn't be happier. Bye, Bye fog brain!!

Later in the week, not one, but TWO kids got car sick. Clean up ensued. Twice. They recovered.

Saturday night, first kid got sick again, REALLY sick. Clean up ensued. He's recovered. But then yesterday afternoon, second kid got it. REALLY sick. More clean up. Still recovering.

Trying to find a bright side: 

1) At least it's not on the airplane on our way to Xmas holiday. 

2) It's a nice chance to have a quiet day with my son.

Not only did one of my kids have a 24-hour intestinal bug last week, there were 2 separate moments of car sickness (one by each kid), AND a full-blown, all-night-long-in-the-bathroom, Oh My God Will It Ever End? Yeah, all in one week.

And I'm biting my tongue because I can't swear we're out of the woods yet!

Plus, as an aside, I apologize to anyone who came looking for me at the Farmer's Market today. I was a no-show due to lack of sleep and over-abundance of germs. Me no like share, eh?

So Universe, just so you know? Happy to clean it all up. You bet. Got no problem here. Just maybe want to mention you could spread the wealth a little. All I'm saying.

But alas, it is not to be.

Stomach flu is ghastly and never more so than when it is a SURPRISE attack on the furniture.
