I like the idea of it and they have great customer service. But for convenience, I had my little checking account and the kids’ savings accounts at a local bank. It was once a Washington Mutual, and I liked them because they had free checking and I could walk there.

But last year it changed into Chase. They stopped paying interest on my kids’ savings accounts. They charge you $4 to check your balance at the ATM, even though they don’t disclose that up front.

And now they have started charging for my formerly free checking account. Chase chargesOh — and if you feel like depositing a lot of cash? They’ll charge you for that, too. Chase charges to take your cash

I guess I’ll just be moving all my money over into the credit union. Buh Bye Chase!
