I really didn’t think that was true about me, but I realized it was the prevailing wisdom. So I gave up.

I had an epiphany about my life: it was truly being wasted doing volunteer work for that bunch of commie parents (the PTA) with their hidden agenda of corrupting our children’s minds, or for the freeloading students at our school. So I quit. Right then and there. And went out to get my toenails done. Aren’t they cute?I also spent a good amount of time eating pecan squares, since I didn’t have any bon-bons handy. And since it was, conveniently enough, Spa Week, I also got a massage. Heaven!

Honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking, trying to help people, when I could have been doing THIS all day long. Well, I have tasted the forbidden fruit people; there’s no going back.

Tomorrow I plan to:

• complain loudly about what everyone else is doing wrong,

• donate money to Joe Wilson’s opponent’s campaign, but not do any work for him,

• get another massage  (Why not? It IS spa week),

• espouse my liberal viewpoint whenever possible,

• take in the cinema,

• lounge around,

• look into the possibility of oppressing some masses, if possible. Or if masses are not possible, for sure some individuals must be available for oppression.

And then, thank god, it’ll be the weekend and I can reLAX for a second.
